Alloy 28 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. It has a high resistance to pitting, cursive corrosion and to stress-corrosion. Developed as a material for service is highly aggressive and corrosive environments. The alloy are especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acid. The alloy 28 has a similar specification as alloy 825 tube.

Characteristics

  •  Excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance
  •  Very good resistance to oxidizing media and strong acids
  •  Good resistance to sulphide cracking
  •  High resistance to inter granular, pitting and crevice corrosion
  •  Good weld ability and formability

Market applications:

  •    Chemical processing
  •    Oil and gas industry
  •    Pollution control equipment
  •    Acid production
