Alloy C22 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with tungsten and extremely low carbon and silicon contents. This alloy enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The high chromium content provides good resistance to oxidizing media while the molybdenum and tungsten content give good resistance to reducing media. It had an exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments including strong oxidizing such as ferric  acid, acetic anhydride, wet chloride and brine solutions.

Characteristics

  •  Excellent resistance to corrosion in stagnant or flowing seawater
  •  Good resistance to oxidizing aqueous media
  •  Outstanding resistance to both reducing and oxidizing media
  •  C22 excels in pitting resistance
  •  Excellent weld ability

Market applications:

  •    Chemical processing
  •    Oil and Gas
  •    Pollution control
  •    Pulp and paper processing industry
  •    Chlorination systems
  •    Pharmaceutical industries
