Shipping methods

Merinox can arrange shipment and delivery of your tubes to your doorstep including special deliveries. We currently export to over 60 countries all over the world.  To make your logistics work, we use the international standards and take the responsibilities of buyer and seller with respect to the shipment of goods. Generally we offer “ex works” from our Warehouses to the customers, and where the destination is not stated on our customers’ requests for quotation. To make clear all cost and risk between seller and buyer concerning transport, insurance, documentation, export & import clearance.

Ex works (EXW)

For “ex works” shipments the tubes are available at our one of our  warehouses for collection. Tubes are not loaded and all transportation and insurance responsibilities belong to the buyer. This for example it is referred to as EXW Ablasserdam.

Carriage paid to (CPT)

Under “carriage paid to” Merinox contracts for main carriage upon instruction of buyer to named place of delivery point of destination.

Cost, insurance & freight (CIF)

Under “cost, insurance and freight”, Merinox arrange and pays for contracts of carriage and insurance to the named port of destination.

Free on board (FOB)

Under “free on board” Merinox arrange to place the good on board the ship instructed by the buyer

Cost & freight (CFR)

Under CFR terms Merinox will arrange and pay for shipping of the tubes to a named destination, for example CFR Dubai: All charges, transport and customs duties on arrival at the destination are the buyer’s responsibility.

Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU)

Under “delivery duty unpaid” terms, for example DDU Singapore, the good are delivered and all costs covered apart from duty, taxes and customs clearance. We only use this when air freighting tubes and the DDU destination is the appropriate international airport. Most of our customers find it more cost effective to arrange their own transport to the work site than asking us to do so – often when we are 10,000km away!

Free carrier (FCA)

Under “free carrier” Merinox arranges and pays unless otherwise agreed for any pre carriage up to the point of delivery.
